Pointflame Services Ltd was set up in April 2005, with our head office based in Gloucestershire, United Kingdom the company has already supplied to the British Armed Forces & the United States.
Initially developed as a multi-functional device for use in and around hospital Operating Theatres e.g. anaesthesia, the Collie Clip (Nato Stock Number 6530-99-994-7093) respective attachments, and subsequent product range, are ideally suited to Emergency Medical Services (EMS) both in a civilian e.g. paramedics and military or NGO role, all treatment levels or platforms from the point of injury to Field Hospital on to evacuation back to mainland hospitals.
For use with medical equipment, the entire product range’s raw material is medical grade stainless steel, allowing the equipment to be sterilized through medical washer disinfectors and autoclaves; In addition, lending itself to a outdoor or marine environment (e.g. Recreation / Camping) without the risk of rusting.
We are also pleased to announce the launch of our Cable Management products. Again with a base material of surgical grade stainless steel, in some instances, these products have reduced set up times by up to 90% for outside broadcast or signals organizations.
Furthermore, Cable Management within an office environment is an increasingly important area to be considered by Office Design companies, we now offer a range of stylish and effective solutions for use whether in the corporate office or for you in the home.
Stephen Glanfield – Chairman
Stephen spent much of his career to date in finance in the UK and Far East. Since the latter he has managed his private interests in the UK. He brings to Pointflame wide Business skills coupled with public sector experience derived from both appointments and political activities.
Simon Ellwood – Managing Director
Simon studied Art & Design at Liverpool and Leeds subsequently becoming a quantity surveyor with PSA (DOE), serving the British Forces estate in Germany. He is a fluent German speaker. At the end of the cold war he returned to the UK and prior to joining Pointflame worked as a director for companies in the healthcare sector.
Charles Ellwood – Technical Director
Charles, a graduate British Industrial Designer working in Germany started as a Consultant product designer, designing household and medical products for diverse companies throughout Europe, many receiving design awards. Thereafter he joined a major German car company, initially designing vehicle Interiors, later becoming a Senior Design Manager. Charles brings to Pointflame conceptual design skills and a wide knowledge of product development.
James Boyd – Sales Director
James, initially from a military background, served as a commissioned officer in HM Armed Forces and with United Nations. Before joining Pointflame Services Limited, James spent nine and a half years with a medical innovation and systems company, working with both private and public sectors in the UK, Ireland, Northern Europe and Australasia.
